Pawar, the humourist..

If you think, Indian politicians are blockheads and morons, who are adepts in chicanery and corruption alone, you are mistaken. They are looters, but humourists as well. Maharashtra heavy weight, the sugar baron, Lavas fame Sharad Pawar is one such comedian. His advice to his cronies to vote twice - first in the city and then in their village after removing the indelible ink mark on their forefinger - was a joke, according to his explanation tendered to the Election Commission. Ms.Supriya Sule MP and daughter of Mr.Pawar, who came out in support of her father complains, the media and the public have no sense of humour. Bernard Shaw’s comment “politics is the last resort of scoundrels” is to be amended in the Indian context. It is the last resort of scoundrels and jokers. It is sad that Pawar gave up on  his ambition of prme ministership. Indians who are fed up seeing the turbaned face of the old man for the last ten years lost the chance of seeing Pawar on the chair of the PM and hearing his comedy.
