സ്പെക്ട്രം, കൽക്കരിപ്പാടം ഇടപാടുകൾ തന്നെ നല്ല ഉദാഹരണം.സി എ ജി യുടെയും, കോടതികളുടെയും ശക്തമായ ഇടപെടലുകൾ ഇല്ലാതിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ അവയും പുറത്തറിയുകയില്ലായിരുന്നു.
                  വ്യവസായികൾ,ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥർക്കും, മന്ത്രിമാർക്കും കൈക്കൂലി നൽകി കാര്യം നേടുന്ന കലാപരിപാടി ലിബറലൈസേഷന്റെ കാലത്താണ് വർധിക്കുന്നത്.യു പി എ യുടെ കാലത്ത് കൈക്കൂലി ലക്ഷം കോടികളിലെത്തി കോർപറേറ്റുകളുടെ സഹായത്തോടെ പടയോട്ടം നടത്തി അധികാരത്തിലെത്തിയ പുതിയ ഭരണകർത്താക്കളുടെ തണലിൽ തങ്ങളുടെ വ്യവസായസാമ്രാജ്യങ്ങളുടെ അതിർത്തി വികസിപ്പിക്കാനുള്ള ശ്രമത്തിലാണ് ഇപ്പോൾ ഇന്ത്യയിലെ വ്യവസായികൾ.പുതിയ ഭരണത്തിൽ പതിയിരിക്കുന്ന ഇ അപകടത്തെക്കുറ്ച്ച് റിസർവ് ബാങ്ക് ഗവർണർ മുന്നറിയ്പ്പു നൽകുന്നു.ഓഗസ്റ്റ് 11നു മുംബൈയിൽ നടത്തിയ ഒരു പ്രസംഗത്തിൽ രഘുറാം രാജൻ പറയുന്നു. “നിലവിലിരുന്ന ക്രോണി സോഷ്യലിസത്തിനു പകരം നമ്മൾ ക്രോണി കാപ്പിറ്റലിസത്തെ 
(കൈക്കൂലി നൽകുന്ന വ്യവസായികളെ ഭരണകർത്താക്കൾ അവിഹിതമായി സഹായിക്കുന്ന നടപടി)  പ്രതിഷ്ടിച്ചൊ എന്നതാണ് കഴിഞ്ഞ പാർലമെന്റു തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പോടെ ഉയർന്നുവന്ന ഒരു ചോദ്യം.അഴിമതിക്കാരും,ദുരാഗ്രഹികളുമായ രാഷ്ട്രീയക്കാർ പണം കൈപ്പറ്റി ഭൂമിയും, പ്രകൃതി വിഭവങ്ങളും പണവും സ്വാധീനവുമുള്ള വ്യവസായികൾക്കു നൽകുകയും മത്സരവും, സുതാര്യതയും തകർത്തുകൊണ്ട് ഈ ഇടപാടുകൾ  മറയ്ക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ സ്വതന്ത്രമായ സാമ്പത്തിക വളർച്ച തകരും.” 
                    1993 മുതൽ കോൺഗ്രസ്, ബിജെപി സർക്കാരുകൾ ലേലം ചെയ്തു കൊടുത്ത 218 കൽക്കരിപ്പാടങ്ങളിൽ 4 എണ്ണം ഒഴികെ എല്ലാം തിരിച്ചെടുക്കുവാനും,വീണ്ടും ലേലം ചെയ്യുവാനും സെപ്റ്റംബർ24ലെ വിധിയിൽ സുപ്രീം കോടതി ഉത്തരവിട്ടു. നാട്ടിൽ വൈദ്യുതിക്ഷാമം ഉണ്ടാകുമെന്നുള്ള കാരണത്താൽ നിലവിലെ സ്ഥിതി തുടരാനനുവദിക്കണമെന്ന കേന്ദ്രസർക്കാരുകളുടെ വാദം തള്ളിക്കൊണ്ടായിരുന്നു ഉത്തരവ്..
                    സെബിയുടെ അനുവാദമൊ, അറിവൊ ഇല്ലാതെ കടപ്പത്ര വില്‍പ്പനയിലൂടെ 24000 കോടി രൂപ സമാഹരിച്ച സഹറ ഗ്രൂപ്പിന്റെ മേധാവി മാർച്ച് 14 മുതൽ തിഹാർ ജയിലിൽ കിടക്കുന്നതിനു കാരണം സെബിയുടെ ഡയ്രക്ടറായിരുന്ന കെ എം ഏബ്രഹാമിന്റെയും, ജസ്റ്റീസ് കെ എസ് രാധാകൃഷ്ണന്റെയും ആദർശധീരത തന്നെ.
                     അമ്പാനിക്കും, അദാനിക്കുമെതിരെ കേജരിവാൽ ശബ്ദിച്ചപ്പോഴും,സുബ്രതൊ റോയ് ചൗധരി അറസ്റ്റിലായപ്പോഴും,കൽക്കരിപ്പാടം അഴിമതിക്കേസിൽ കുമാരമംഗലം ബിൽളയെ ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യാൻ ശ്രമിച്ചപ്പോഴും, വ്യവസായികളും, അവരുടെ സംഘടനകളും അതിനെ എതിർക്കുകയും, നടപടികൾ പുതിയ നിക്ഷേപകരെ നിരുത്സാഹപ്പെടുത്തുമെന്നു വാദിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.ഇത്തരം തട്ടിപ്പുകൾ  എല്ലാ കാലത്തും അവർ തുടർന്നു വരുന്നതും, പിടിക്കപ്പെടാതെ രക്ഷപ്പേടെന്നതുമാണെന്നു സാരം.

Security at ATMs.

    Our rulers and law enforcing agencies wake up from their slumber only when some calamity strikes us. Ministers express shock & remorse at the loss of lives of the innocent people, sympathise with the kith and kin of the victims, visit the site of occurrence ceremoniously with the camera crew, release nonsensical statements, artificially sobbing. They will order enquiry to find out the cause of the mishap & suggest remedial measures. This will give employment to a lethargic retired officer or a judge, who will get an opportunity to make some easy bucks. The report of the commission, however well argued, may or may not come to the light. Neither the  commission, nor the Government that ordered the inquiry is serious about the outcome of the probe. The authorities will sleep like Rip Van Winkle till the next mishap occurs.

    In the wake of the brutal attack on a customer (she happened to be the manager of another branch of the same Bank) in an ATM in Bangalore, Kochi police issued direction to the Banks to ensure that every ATM booth has a security guard 24x7 along with CCTV surveillance. Despite the order the police issued in the last week of November 2013, nothing changed in the ATMs. The unguarded ATMs remain unguarded.

    Most of the ATMs are away from the thoroughfares, in the unlit and deserted corners of malls and streets. The unguarded ATMs of some of the nationalized Banks are locked, can be accessed with the card of the customer. Those of the private sector Banks are open, any thug or hoodlum can enter it any time, hide behind the machine and pounce on an unsuspecting customer while he/she is operating the machine.

    The security guards at the ATMs are mostly unhealthy old men retired from the Military, incapable of guarding the ATMs or defending the customers. These tipplers doze on the chair during the day time and sleep inside the air conditioned booth at night. Some use the ATMs for retail vending of the “quota” they get.

      The Banks are making enormous profit from the ATMs, it is the reason for the rise in the number of ATMs in the country. One NBFC, a shark, a looter, a Shylock also jumped into the bandwagon with white line ATMs to get their share of the profit

      Our Government, our Police, our Banks will remain silent until another hapless customer gets attacked in an ATM. Oommen Chandy, the CM of Kerala who went all the way to Bangalore to visit the victim of attack in the ATM, as she  hails from the state, has nothing to say on the security aspects of ATMs in his state. For him it was a public relations operation that will boost his yield in the forthcoming elections,
