In Mukesh Ambani's 27 floor, Rs.12000 crore house Antilia in Mumbai, dhokla was being cooked using subsidized cooking gas till April 2015.
According to a press release, Industrialist Anil Ambani has given up cooking gas subsidies in April 2015 and has urged his group's about one lakh employees to follow suit. Ambani joins a host of Industry leaders , including Mukesh Ambani,Anand Mahindra, Anil agarwal, Gautam Adani, Udai Kotak and Kishore Biyani to give up subsidies heeding to the call of the Prime Minister. It is disheartening to note that these rich baniyas have been enjoying subsidies so far. While the richest of India put their hands in the begging bowls of the poor, the rulers who share camaraderie with these capitalists never dared to say MANISHADA.
The Industrialists of india who find the pride of place in the Forbes list of the richest of the world year after year have no qualms in using the facility meant for the poorest of the poor of India. Our Governments made no efforts to deny them the subsidy that they never deserved. The initiative started by UPA II to link subsidies to Adhaar and channel it to the bank a/cs of the deserving was scuttled by none other than the No. II of the Congress High command. The whole efforts of that honest and brilliant man, Nandan Nilekani went waste. Rahul Gandhi's naive and foolish action, helped Narendra Modi to use the scheme to his advantage. He implemented the scheme without giving chance to anyone
to protest.
